Director of Recruitment for Fielding Graduate University

ABOUT

Erica Fichter serves as Director of Recruitment for Fielding Graduate University, where she brings nearly 10 years of experience in graduate admissions and enrollment management for doctoral, master’s, and certificate programs. Erica works to develop and implement recruitment and yield strategies through cross-functional administrative and academic collaboration, student-focused process planning, and data-driven decision making. Prior to Fielding, Erica worked in progressive roles within the W. P. Carey School of Business Graduate Programs Office at Arizona State University (ASU), working with full-time and professional business programs, and serving most recently as Sr. Associate Director of Graduate Admissions.

Erica was born and raised in Texas and attended The University of Texas at Austin, where she majored in Philosophy and earned a minor in Biology. Lovingly referred to as her “first career,” she spent six years in B2B sales for the manufacturing and oil & gas industries before she relocated to Arizona, leveraging her experience to begin a new career in graduate enrollment management; and ultimately earning her Master of Business Administration at ASU. Realizing that higher education is her true passion, Erica decided to pursue her Master of Education with an emphasis on Higher Education Leadership at Northern Arizona University (NAU), where she graduated in spring of 2020. Upon accepting her position at Fielding, Erica moved further west to Santa Barbara, where she enjoys spending time with her dogs and appreciating the beautiful southern California landscape, culture and cuisine with her husband.
