36th Annual Forensic Psychology Symposium

in collaboration with Fielding Graduate University.

Fielding Graduate University is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Fielding maintains responsibility for this pro-gram and its content. This program will offer a maximum of 21 hours of Continuing Education credits.

The American College of Forensic Psychology certifies that this activity has been approved for 21 hours of MCLE credit by the State Bar of California.

Rebecca Smith-Casey, JD/PsyD received a law degree from Villanova School of Law and her PsyD in School and Clinical Psychology from Kean University. Dr. Smith-Casey is a certified school psychologist and licensed clinical psychologist who presently conducts psychosexual evaluations in Philadelphia, PA, as well as working in private practice engaging in forensic evaluations. Christian Gardner-Wood is a Senior Deputy District Attorney for the First Judicial District, which includes Jefferson and Gilpin Counties. Christian graduated from the University of Colorado Law School in 2007 and has spent his career as a Deputy District Attorney in the First Judicial District. In his time at the DA’s Office, Christian has taken well over 100 cases to trial. Christian is currently the Human Trafficking Prosecutor for the First Judicial District. In that position, he prosecutes all human trafficking cases for the district, works on legislation and policy regarding human trafficking, and presents to the community about human trafficking. Brenna Tindall, Psy.D. is a Licensed Psychologist, Full Operating Sex Offender Management Board (SOMB) and Domestic Violence Management Board (DVOMB) evaluator, and Certified Addiction Counselor III -- all in the State of Colorado. She has extensive experience evaluating and treating adult and adolescent clients who are involved with the criminal justice system. She is also a Full Operating Evaluator for Offender's with Intellectual Disabilities. Dr. Tindall is a Certified Trainer for the SOTIPS and VASOR-2 adult sex offender risk assessments as well as a Certified Trainer of the J-SOAP-II for juvenile sex offenders. William J. Koch, Ph.D., ABPP is a clinical and forensic psychologist who specializes in the assessment and treatment of PTSD, anxiety disorders, and depression. He has published widely across trauma-related disorders, anxiety disorders, and depression, in forensic assessment of such conditions as well as in in clinical trials of cognitive behavioral therapy for such conditions. Donna Veraldi, Ph.D. has been involved in private practice in Billings, Mt for over 30 years. She has been involved in a wide variety of forensic cases, including reviewing files for court procedures and developing treatment plans in a psychological/ legal context. Dr. Veraldi is now semi-retired and is an adjunct professor at Rocky Mountain College in Billings. She plans to devote more time to researching topics relevant to psychology, and the accurate use of diagnoses is at the top of her list.
