ABOUT
Lisa Faille, Ph.D., MPH, ABPP is a board-certified, licensed clinical psychologist. She earned her BA in Psychology with an English Minor from Boston University (1993), her MA in Counseling Psychology from Georgia State University (1996), her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from California School of Professional Psychology, San Francisco (2006), and an MPH in Public Health from Argosy University (2013).
After obtaining her Master’s degree, Dr. Faille worked as a Master’s level therapist for violent and sexual offenders. During her Ph.D. experience, she completed doctoral practicums at the San Francisco County Jail and Oakland’s Family Violence Institute. She then completed an APA accredited internship at a forensic psychiatric hospital. After graduating, she completed a post-doctoral fellowship in adolescent forensics in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at Brown University. These experiences provided her with intensive specialized training in forensic psychological assessment and treatment. She further obtained a Master’s degree in Public Health in order focus on mental illness as a public health issue.
Dr. Faille has co-authored an article on screening for adolescent suicidality/homicidality and has co-authored a chapter on the prevention and treatment of violence in Violent Crime: Clinical and Social Implications. She has presented posters at APA annual conventions on avoiding bias in report writing and has presented nationally on how faculty can respond to racially insensitive comments in the classroom. Dr. Faille has worked as an adjunct faculty for several years at in-person universities and has been teaching online in psychology since 2009.
